2017 COURSE & CONCERTS
The NYTCW meets for its annual residential course in the Easter vacation at Monmouth School for Girls in preparation for a final concert in Monmouth Priory Church. During the 6 day course the Choir will work on a programme of classical and light music under the expert guidance of our team of professional tutors and the NYTCW’s Music Director, Elisabeth Toye. Choristers will also have the opportunity to have individual singing lessons and take part in masterclasses.
In addition to music making, choristers enjoy a lively entertainment programme run by the pastoral staff. Activities usually include table tennis, football and rounders and evening events such as quizzes, talent nights and much more.
The course culminates with a performance at one of Wales’s top concert venues. In recent years the Choir has appeared in Welshpool, Brecon Cathedral, Swansea and at the Wales Millennium Centre. 2017will see the NYTCW return to St Mary's Priory Church in Monmouth for its end of of course concert.
